Capacitor tuning-rod kits serve as handy design aid

Syfer Technology offers tuning-rod kits based on the company’s Hi-Q range of surface-mount capacitors to help RF design and test engineers select the right capacitor for their circuit or application without having to solder capacitors.
Each tuning rod has a capacitor of a specified value attached to it. Capacitance values range from 0.1 pF to 100 pF. By using tuning rods with different capacitance values around the nominal value, engineers can determine the appropriate capacitance for the task at hand.

Designed specifically for high-frequency applications, such as tuners, resonators, filters, oscillators, RF power amplifiers, and tuning networks, Syfer’s Hi-Q capacitor line is available in a variety of case sizes. Kits are free to qualified users.
