AC current transducers offer improved performance in compact size
Milwaukee, Wis. — LEM S.A. has introduced its AT series of AC current transducers, which features an innovative core material that enables improved performance of the split-core current transformer technology and a reduced price point, said the company

The AT transducers combine an accurate current transformer and signal conditioning electronics in a very light and compact case. They measure 44.5 x 67 x 36.5 mm (1.75 x 2.6 x 1.4 inches) with a 16-mm (0.63 inch) diameter sensing aperture for non-contact measurement, which make them suitable for installation in tight spaces.

The transducers were designed to measure 50/60 Hz AC signals with RMS (average) computation. They provide an absolute accuracy better than 1.5 percent of the nominal current over a broad range of inputs. A choice of primary current measurement ranges from 5 A to 50 A, with a selection of industry standard output types (4 to 20 mA, 0 to 5 Vdc or 0 to 10 Vdc).

The split-core transducers can be either self-powered or loop-powered, which means they are easy to install and can be retro-fitted into existing installations without shutting down operation. Typical applications include industrial process control and condition monitoring of equipment such as HVAC, conveyers and pumps. Click the link to access the AT transducer datasheets. As with all LEM products, the AT series transducers are backed by a five-year guarantee.

Pricing ranges from $15 to $50 depending on the model and quantity. Delivery ranges from two to seven weeks.
