Chicago – Littelfuse Inc. is offering a new series of low capacitance diode arrays that provides ESD protection for all six channels of USB 3.0 in several applications, including set top boxes, LCD/PDP TVs, external hard disk drives, notebooks, desktops, and smart phones.
The latest addition to its SPA portfolio, the SP3011 series is packaged in a 3.5x1.35x0.5mm µDFN-14. According to Littelfuse, the SP3011 offers one of the lowest dynamic resistances (1.5Ω) per capacitance of any competitive device. One of the parts in the series, the SP3011-06UTG, presents a low parasitic capacitance of 0.40pF, which minimizes signal degradation on the four super-speed (5Gbps) and two legacy (480Mbps) data lines.
The SP3011 Series is RoHS compliant and complies with the following standards:
- ESD, IEC61000-4-2, ±8kV (contact), ±15kV (air)
- Lightning, IEC61000-4-5, 3A (tP=8/20µs)
- EFT, IEC61000-4-4, 40A (tP=5/50ns)
