AVX Corp. has expanded its inter-digitated capacitor (IDC) product line to include ultra-miniature, RoHS-compliant versions.
Providing low equivalent series inductance (ESL) values of 35pH in a small footprint, the IDC Series is well-suited for advanced decoupling applications, including CPU, GPU, ASIC and ASSP. Low ESL IDCs free up valuable board space by reducing the number of capacitors required versus standard MLCCs, according to AVX. Featuring a footprint of 1.6mm x 0.80mm, the IDC Series is available in Pb-free and SN/Pb terminations for military applications.
Pricing: Starts at $0.38.
Availability: Now with a lead time of 10 weeks.

Yes, this looks good and will save space on PCB. However, in datasheet they used + and - convention. Should it be terminal 1 and 2 only? Does + and - has any special meaning?
Does this capacitor follow any industry standard or do any other vendor makes similar parts? If alternate vendor is available, we can use it for design.
