Power supply features dimmable LED
Cincinnati, Ohio — A dimmable LED power supply from Foster Transformer features patented short circuit and overload protection, and can be dimmed with a standard household dimmer.

The power supply is encapsulated in epoxy and housed in a 304 stainless steel enclosure, which makes it virtually impervious to dirt, moisture, and corrosive elements, said the company. This makes the power supply suitable for use in signage, lighting and other industrial, commercial, and institutional applications.

The power supply can withstand a direct short in excess of 15 days, with no external fusing required. The supply accepts multiple input voltages including 120 V, 240 V, and 277 V, 50/60 Hz, and is output configurable for 12 Vdc or 24 Vdc up to 60 W. The unit is ETL certified for North America and CE marked for Europe. It is tested to ANSI/UL 60950-1, CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 60950-1-03 and EN60950-1.
