PMDLE Editor: Can you give a general overview of the new CCM250 250 W power supply?
Steve Elliott: Well its power rating is 250 W and it has a 300 W peak rating for driving motors and heaters and other similar loads. Something that you will immediately notice is how small the product actually is. The CCM250 fits in a 6 x 4 inch package which is the smallest product available with this convection cooled power rating in the market today and that's been achieved by having this high efficiency rating of 95 percent.
As for the safety approvals: It has the EN 9650-1 for IT equipment, the IEC 61010-1 for laboratory equipment and EN 60601-1 for medical equipment so it is fully approved for worldwide use.
It is also a Class 1 product and it has some signals, it has a remote on/off, it has a power fail signal, it has a 5-volt stand-by signal. The 5-volt is used for the customer to power the signals from the power supply but also the customer can put the power supply on to stand-by mode and still have 5 volts to power any extra circuitry.
Finally all of our catalogue products carry a three year warranty.
