CAMBRIDGE, UK — The button cell retainer announced by Keystone is specifically designed for holding 4.8mm ML414 micro lithium batteries onto high density PCBs.

Designed especially for miniature electronics such as watches, hearing aids, calculators, keyless door entry fobs, memory backup, small toys, and other applications, these retainers are engineered with reliable spring tension to assure low contact resistance while firmly securing the battery within the retainer.

The surface mount retainer accepts all ML414 micro lithium batteries from all major manufacturers and is compatible with all soldering and reflow operations. Retainers are manufactured of phosphor bronze with solder tails located outside of retainer body which facilitates visual inspection of the solder joints.

These retainers are available with gold plating to accommodate both lead free and low temperature reflow soldering. The units are delivered in bulk or on tape and reel. Retainers are compatible with most vacuum and mechanical pick and place assembly systems.
