Simulink gets Link to Green Hills MULTI
Kenton Williston1/14/2008 5:25 PM EST
Embedded IDE Link MU supports processor-in-the-loop (PIL) simulation, allowing designers to use the Simulink model as a test harness for functional verification. This process is quasi-real-time. Blocks of data are sent to the target hardware, processed, and sent back to Simulink. To facilitate testing and debugging, MATLAB can also be used to graph and analyze the results. These capabilities improve test quality and facilitate Model-Based-Design, MathWork's approach to system level design, which aims to decrease code and system defects resulting from hand-coding. Legacy code can be integrated into the design flow via use of custom Simulink blocks.
The Embedded IDE Link MU further expands The MathWorks' Link product line. Other development environments linked to Simulink include ADI's Visual DSP (supporting Blackfin, SHARC, and TigerSHARC), Texas Instruments' Code Composer Studio (supporting C2000, C55xx, and C6000), as well as hardware flows from Cadence and Mentor Graphics.
Embedded IDE Link MU is available immediately starting at $2,000. For more information visit http://www.mathworks.com.
