Zilog's newly announced ZGATE family of protected microcontrollers features Icon Labs’ Floodgate embedded firewall to add a critical layer of security for network devices built with its new ZGATE architecture.

Floodgate provides security to Zilog’s eZ80Acclaim based products used in today’s wired and wireless Internet connected devices and adds deeper protection from dangerous network attacks. This joint solution reduces the incidence of security breaches in devices used in defence, energy, medical, transportation and manufacturing.
