NEC's UPG2160T5K single pole double throw (SPDT) GaAs switch IC is so small and thin, it can be used in place of chips in many of size-constrained applications, such as miniature PCM cards and low-profile modules for Mobilecomm, short-range wireless, Bluetooth, and ZigBee. Housed in NEC's 6-pin T5K package, the UPG2160T5K measures 1.0 x 1.0 mm and is 0.37mm in height. Well suited for use in L and S-Band applications, its single control voltage design helps simplify circuitry by eliminating the need for a second control line.
Operating across 0.5 to 3.0GHz, typical performance specifications (at +2.6VDC) at 2.5 GHz include: 0.4 dB insertion loss, 16-dB isolation, and +21-dBm input power at 1-dB compression. The Pb-free UPG2160T5K is RoHS-compliant and in stock and available now from California Eastern Laboratories. To help speed circuit design, evaluation boards are available through CEL's network of local sales offices. Click here for a data sheet.
