Malvern, Pa. — Vishay Intertechnology Inc. has launched a series of micro-chip negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistors intended for temperature sensing circuits in automotive temperature probes and control units, and in industrial boilers, battery packs, and fire detectors.
The NTCLE305E4xxxSB devices consist of a micro NTC chip with two insulated solid silver-plated nickel wires that are coated with an ochre-colored epoxy lacquer. The NTCLE305E4202SB, NTCLE305E4502SB, and NTCLE305E4103SB feature R25 of 2060 Ω, 5,000 Ω, and 10,000 Ω, respectively, with other values available on request.
Key highlights:
- Small maximum body sensing diameter of 1.6 mm
- Fast response times of ≤ 3 s in air and ≤ 0.7 s in oil
- Accuracy of ± 0.5°C from + 25°C to + 85°C and ± 1.0°C between - 40°C and + 125°C.
- AEC-Q200-qualified
- Thermal shock resistance up to 2,000 cycles
