SAN FRANCISCO — Rugged hardware platform provider Parvus Corp. said Thursday (March 30) it plans to unveil families of ruggedized mobile Internet Protocol networking solutions, flat panel displays and embedded computer systems at next week's Embedded Systems Conference Silicon Valley in San Jose, Calif.

According to Parvus (Salt Lake City), the commercial off-the-shelf hardware platforms leverage the company's 20-year heritage in embedded PC architecture and system ruggedization. The product families include the DuraMAR mobile access router, the DuraCOR rugged computer processing platform family and the DuraVIS rugged monitor and multi-function display family.

"These products build upon years of experience by Parvus developing and qualifying similar devices for prime defense contractors, metropolitan transit authorities and homeland security integrators," said Clark Roundy, Parvus vice president of sales and marketing, in a statement. "We anticipate this offering will enable our customers to fast-track their development cycle, since 80 to 100 percent of what they need will be already developed."

Pricing information for the new products was not disclosed.

The Embedded Systems Conference Silicon Valley is set for April 4-6, at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose. Parvus will exhibit in booth No. 1828.
