Hi, I dont know if this is the right place for this type of question, but im here.
I am graduating in 6 months. I want to start preparing for a career in embedded system. I want to start by getting familiar with the field. I have started visiting websites to see what is going on in the field
I just wanted to ask you for reccomendations on what should I do to prepare. Any magazines I should suscribe too and websites. I have any board you reccommend to try some projects or something.
Hopefully you can help me.
Thanks in Advance

I believe you are looking for embedded software. It is an extensive field and I think that the best way to learn is to start getting your hands dirty. I think that the best way to start is with small microcontrollers. You may like to buy a small emulator may be TI, Microchip or Atmel. Download the correspoding software. Write a LED on/off program. Then move on to serial ports,
Once you do that, move on to more complex linux based embedded system. This may take 6 months or so to get familiar with.
