I would like to see a good research project on setting up tuned circuits using the capacitive touch technology. You could set it up to generate a specific tone for each point based upon using a high Q resonance when a finger is positioned over the sensing area. I think a lot of people would like to see a more sensitive touch screen with less false detections. Going with tuned circuits could be a better way to detect the position selection via frequency discrimination rather than digitised signal levels.
