What do you think of M'soft's tablet?

I'd like to hear what you think of the Microsoft Surface, the new family of Win RT tablets from the developer of Windows.
Is it better in any way than the iPad?
Is it a punch in the gut to Windows PC OEMs?

If it lets me do real work, I am all for it. At this point I am assuming that it will do Word, Excel and the other standard windows tools. If so, it goes to the top of my list.
None of the other tablets have demonstrated an application that would make me buy one. This may be the first.
Just my opinion.

If Microsoft had been a West Point graduate, it would have been ostracized by classmates years ago.
