I'm Starting to Think Google Chrome is a Virus

Pocono Armchair Review

So I install Google Chrome on a couple of machines to try them out, and their "Print Cloud" or "Cloud Print," or whatever the hell they call it. Then I find out the blinking thing is running in the background in about a dozen processes, even though I haven't opened Chrome. I'm trying to run Firefox, and it's as if Chrome is choking it out by running all these who-the-hell-knows-why processes. Anyone else enjoy Chrome as much as I do? I'm going to have to delete that monster.

And the ironic thing is that I have set Chrome to not run processes in the background, when Chrome isn't running, but, you know what? Chrome doesn't care what you tell it.

I guess, the cloud print feature will have to run in background else, your printers wont be accesible from anywhere else. Try disabling this feature in settings

I am having the same problem on my Laptop and probably these background processes are eating into my broadband traffic so much so that my month's quota has gotten over in just about a week

Still investigating!

I don't like Chrome one bit. Don't want to end up being google's lab rat.

Now I'm having trouble with computer-to-computer communications over my LAN, and I don't know whether I should blame Chrome or not. All of a sudden, I'm being told I don't have permission. Argh. I hope it's not Chrome, but I think Chrome is going to have to go. We'll give it some more time to mess things up before I chuck it for good.

I started having similar problems with Chrome lately. I am not using it anymore.... extremely sad to say it but I am back to using MS IExplorer on my PC :-(

The processes is the main reason I don't like chrome.Don't understand what these processes is used for? I just open chrome with a blank tab, it has seven chrome.exe in the task manager. It also crash very often in a period of time.
Now, I mainly use Avant browser with Firefox engine, only one process and use less momery. Still use chrome occasionally.

Chrome seems to have been a dud from day 1. I tried it briefly, and it bogged down my 'puter like only Microsoft could have done previously. It's definitely a blemish on Google's brand as far as I'm concerned. Very disappointing.
