Hello!
My brother is graduating with a masters in electrical engineering, as a gift I wanted to build him a desk that is functional to his career. My question is: what is most important to someone in the electrical engineering field from a function desk perspective? Storage? writing area? any guidance would be much appreciated!

Lots of drawers and lots of flat workspace. Holes in the back for cables to thread through and hooks underneath in that areas to keep excess cable wrapped up and out of the way. Also several built-in power strips. The power strips should be easily accessible.

It should also be designed to that a roller chair can fit under it for much of it's length. That way the active work area isn't confined to a little box just wide enough for on set of legs.
