I'm just getting my first look at the final papers (program director's prerogative; I see them first). We have a couple photonics papers in Track 3 that deliver what I expected. They address signal integrity and related issues familiar to DesignCon regulars, but in the context of photonic devices and optical interconnects. Somehting to watch for, if you're interested in these things.
What are the engineering and design challenges in creating successful IoT devices? These devices are usually small, resource-constrained electronics designed to sense, collect, send, and/or interpret data. Some of the devices need to be smart enough to act upon data in real time, 24/7. Specifically the guests will discuss sensors, security, and lessons from IoT deployments.
