Q: Question for the ST folks: What is the CN3 connector (ACP/RF) on the upper right of the board for? It looks like it has I2C and power. Is it a connector for a wireless module?
A: You are correct that it brings out the I2C port. If you belong to the Apple peripheral support environment, you'll recognize what this is. Alternately, this gives the user a very good port to plug in our RFID/EEPROM device.
What are the engineering and design challenges in creating successful IoT devices? These devices are usually small, resource-constrained electronics designed to sense, collect, send, and/or interpret data. Some of the devices need to be smart enough to act upon data in real time, 24/7. Specifically the guests will discuss sensors, security, and lessons from IoT deployments.
