Gabe, I believe that the financial community does know what EDA is all about however they are looking for more consistent growth and a larger market size. As an example I met a bright analog guy named Garo Toomajanian at Viewlogic in the 90's. In 2004 I met him again at DAC and he was working for RBC as a financial analyst. Garo certainly knew EDA from the inside out and was now covering it from a financial analyst viewpoint. Sadly, by 2006 Garo had moved on to other things.
