TIME TO THINK *** BOX *** OUTSIDE OF THE yup, the product design challenges are a lot bigger than just the silicon, spanning concept and system design all the way through manufacturing design. There are many, many disciplines involved (think about the design effort that goes into an automobile).

To say that Andy Weir's The Martian is an exploration of math, Mars, and feces is a slight simplification. I doubt that the author would have any complaints, though.
