Yoshida, does it mean they have a good internal process or they have very experienced teams?

An intelligent article. As someone outside the CE domain, I learned a lot reading this. Thank you Mr. Yoshida. In my view Apple will prosper mightily foe the foreseeable future because their corporate MO is excellent. It is their DNA at work. They will only fail if they get ahead of themselves and fall into the trap of complacency about their 'excellence'.

True. Thanks for correcting me. I am a firm believer that Apple's strength is in its execution. When I asked a chip company executive (who had a desin-win experience with Apple's products)about what makes Apple succeed, he bluntly responded, "They rarely make a stupid mistake -- when it comes to design and execution."

Agree with everything except the statement, "It's the very idea of using a touch screen on a cell phone.." - others had a touchscreen before Apple. The key element of Apple products is the UI - everything else follows automatically. They showed that not everyone has to be a techie to use hi-tech devices. Many other companies are still not getting it.

Like many of you, I was saddened to hear the news of Leonard Nimoy's death. His Star Trek character Mr. Spock was an inspiration to many of us who entered technical fields.

I recently received an email from someone we'll call Martin (because that's his name). Martin's message was short and sweet. In its entirety it read: "You need to see this!"
