Wow! I was so wrong. I wonder what kind of side deal (with Intel?) was struck by Micron. They will have some explaining to do to their shareholders.
Nothing in the press release about the phase-change memory thing, though. Can we finally say, rest in peace?
My observations suggest the NOR buiness was spoiled by some group! If Micron takes over Numonyx, the deal would be good for ex. ST people who are part of Numonyx. Micron and strong Spansion would revive this segment of the memory business.
Why would Micron want to get into a declining business, namely, NOR Flash? By the way, is Numonyx really selling any phase-change memory? Because according to their latest "webcast," no product on the market today uses their phase-change chip, allegedly "commercial" since 2008.
