Lucky they were crude knockoffs and not genuine chips remarked with either higher clock speeds or completely different x86 processors. I can imagine someone putting one in their PC and thinking "this new Intel chip is not any faster than the one I bought 5 years ago".

These devices are usually small, resource-constrained electronics designed to sense, collect, send, and/or interpret data. Some of the devices need to be smart enough to act upon data in real time, 24/7. Specifically the guests will discuss sensors, security, and lessons from IoT deployments.
