At the GSA Memory Conference in March, Oh-Hyun Kwon, Semiconductor Business president at Samsung Electronics, mentioned that Samsung expects to migrate to 20nm-class production for 8Gb DRAM in 2012, and will also migrate to 10nm-class NAND at that time as well.

The earlier news we got about increasing capacity in the semiconductor market make more sense now. I guess much of this growth came from the mobile market.

Samsung making 2 Gb DDR3 on 3X nm (supposedly 35 nm). They can extend this through the 2X nm node.
