@Techchild, great to hear from you. Indeed, your father would have loved the event. They put up a great show for this event; and I scienrely hope many other Silicon Valley companies will follow suit, because alumni have much to tell and so much to share.

Although Avago Technologies has since acquired LSI, It still lives and thrives in Silicon Valley today. I know that my father, Mitchell "Mick" Bohn would have loved to have been there for the 30th anniversary! He was a co-founder, early LSI branch kickstarter (LSI Japan, Europe, and Canada), and the first CFO for the company. He kept much from his time with his company, saving keepsakes for me. Thanks for this great article EE Times! Love your articles.

While it was the consensus that Sun Microsystems was probably our smartest customer, I personally never had the pleasure. Also, training was *one of* the things that made LSI Logic a success, and we did it, if not better than anyone, at least better than the vast majority.
