We talking about diamond here....very expensive substrate...I wonder how pricing and performance trade-off will wrk out. It may be best uited for defense but not sure how well it be played in commercial market.
This is great news. The stigma is that GaN, GaAs, Ga+anything is expensive when compared to SiGe. That cost gap is fast closing and the performance improvement over SiGe provided by GaN can often be shown to be worth considering for non-amplifier application designs.
