These Knowles mics are terrific for consumer applications. They very sensitive, smaller package, sound great, and have an integrated amplifier. From what I've seen of MEMs oscillators, I seriously doubt there will be an equivalently wonderful MEMS device that revolutionizes the oscillator market.

This is an excellent use of microelectromechanical engineering, even the I have also not heard any Professional Microphone manufacturer using MEMS Microphone, it would be surely giving better sound compared to the present day condenser microphones.

This is good news for MEMS.Looking it the way Apple's business MEMS is also going to make lot of business. Looks like not much competition for MEMs in this area.
