It was coming, they cannot compete in the market. It is long expected that this firm can go down.

FSC South Portland is said to be the oldest continually operating Semiconductor Manufacturing operation in the USA; opened in 1962. More USA capabilities disappearing to never return. Ave atque vale !

Fairchild's share price jumped like crazy in the past weeks. So it’s kinda weird to hear they cut on workforce. Is South Portland the only fab they have in U.S.?
