AMD certainly have good products atleast when i look at the latest fusion and brazo platforms. But the advertisement and marketing are not as good as Intel. I wish the new CEO will put some idea into this and marketing their products in a creative manner.

Unfortunately, I don't have a good understanding of top level salaries... I wish I had more direct experience...

I can never digest these golden parachutes...way too excessive in my opinion.

If Meyer was holding AMD back then $12 million is deal so as to unleash that anchor. And if Seifert meant "nimble" as a complement and not a euphemism then that is a good place for Meyer to leave AMD so they at least have a shot at getting someplace good in a hurry.

As data rates begin to move beyond 25 Gbps channels, new problems arise. Getting to 50 Gbps channels might not be possible with the traditional NRZ (2-level) signaling. PAM4 lets data rates double with only a small increase in channel bandwidth by sending two bits per symbol. But, it brings new measurement and analysis problems.
