Interesting takes on the low end smartphone market by ARM and CEVA. CEVA suggests using a single chip with with integrated baseband and an application processor, which implies we need a more powerful processor. http://www.eetimes.com/electronics-news/4212765/7-things-to-look-for-at-Mobile-World-Congress?pageNumber=1 ARM on the otherhand suggests to use a stripped down version of its current CPU as the Application processor and leave baseband alone. I think I am with CEVA on this one :)

Wow, that's great news. They are getting more and more ambitious every year. Do they intend to be the Intel+Nvidia for the portable devices?
