With the rise of demand in digital content for advanced interactivity, TV's, mobile devices, and quality of sound, speakers--both commercial and consumer-grade needs research like this. Because hearing also a subjective sense, audiologists and sound engineers have to know how to please both trained ears and the hearing of the masses.
