TSMC's nearest rival is booking 1/3 the business of TSMC and rev grew 48%, compared to 41% of UMC. That's not falling behind. That's pulling ahead by a lot. It's UMC that should be worried about Global Foundries, who seems to be taking more out of UMC than TSMC. The whole industry was hit with a slow down in 2009 and the whole industry came back in 2010. And it seems TSMC came back stronger than it's nearest distant rival. Silly overstated assertions not backed by the data in the article.
