Hi Mark- you have a typo on Inotera earnings (you mentiona last quarter's not the most recent..) It should be sales NT$ 9,586 million, up 10% QoQ and net loss of NT$ 4,044 million. The previous Q comparison is off by 1 qrtr as well

I bet Elpida would love to take Nanya and Inotera off the hands of the Formosa Plastics group, and ultimately practically all DRAM leverage off the hands of the US. Would the US go for that? Can the US even do anything about it?

I just don't believe that Nanya and its spinoff, Inotera, could continue this bloodletting for another year or so. Nanya even with its very deep pocket,the Formosa Plastics Group, will have to deal with the inevitable,bankruptcy for its own good. This one is going to cost the group dearly.

As data rates begin to move beyond 25 Gbps channels, new problems arise. Getting to 50 Gbps channels might not be possible with the traditional NRZ (2-level) signaling. PAM4 lets data rates double with only a small increase in channel bandwidth by sending two bits per symbol. But, it brings new measurement and analysis problems.
