I wish them luck because they are against a monster in Intel. The big question is this: Will Intell do something bigger?

Wish a great luck for AMD with these new series processors. By the way any idea why AMD is doing this all the way up in Bellevue, Is it to get some attraction from Microsoft?

I'm glad to see that AMD is still talking to its community of developers. They have very smart technology and have not in been able to establish themselves as popularly as Intel. These types of events will strengthen what they're innovating especially since they are working with Microsoft and ARM who are both global organizations. I'm also excited that they're holding these sessions in the Pacific NW which needs the economic boost that all of the excellent high tech companies offer during this time. Sounds like there will be roadmap presentations and standards discussion. I wonder if these chips will be used at all in supercomputing.

Drones are, in essence, flying autonomous vehicles. Pros and cons surrounding drones today might well foreshadow the debate over the development of self-driving cars. In the context of a strongly regulated aviation industry, "self-flying" drones pose a fresh challenge. How safe is it to fly drones in different environments? Should drones be required for visual line of sight – as are piloted airplanes? Join EE Times' Junko Yoshida as she moderates a panel of drone experts.
