I guess the reduced guidance is more due to most of the apple cosumers already having the latest iPod/iPad/iPhone versions and one has to agree that beyond a couple of revisions the products loose their sheen.

If the market is expecting a better iPhone, a better iPad and another Mac with a better OSX, will this expectation contribute to the decline of sales if it happens? Is the shrinking of iPod market be another contributor?

Apple attributes its reduced guidance for next quarter to "a future product transition." Whatever that is all about, it will be quite interesting to see what new surprises Apple has for us this Fall.

Credit goes to Steve Jobs and all in Apple! I think Steve Jobs has set an example as the most successful CEO at the present time. Is there any reason given behind the speculation of slower growth in the coming quarters?

I am very jealous of Apple stock holders. I wish it can crash to $200 SO THAT I can buy. I am so ashamed that I cannot afford it as this value right now. Apple, I wish I can bite you.

Apple is so great to still make so much money in this economic situation and yet the gross margin goes up!

NEXT UPCOMING BROADCAST
In conjunction with unveiling of EE Times’ Silicon 60 list, journalist & Silicon 60 researcher Peter Clarke hosts a conversation on startups in the electronics industry. One of Silicon Valley's great contributions to the world has been the demonstration of how the application of entrepreneurship and venture capital to electronics and semiconductor hardware can create wealth with developments in semiconductors, displays, design automation, MEMS and across the breadth of hardware developments. But in recent years concerns have been raised that traditional venture capital has turned its back on hardware-related startups in favor of software and Internet applications and services. Panelists from incubators join Peter Clarke in debate.
