We are in the midst of a kitchen renovation. The cabinet contractor used an ipad as his only computer. At the granite warehouse all the sales people were using Ipads. They could show how color schemes would look as well as complete the transactions. There is tremendous opportunities for the Ipad or similar tablet in the business arena.

Well people are used to the abundance of the electronic gadgets. Shortage in the this market may be good a short term (very short) but detrimental in the long term. My question is will Apple stumble. It had a impressive streak of hits, when will the dud come? Are they truly invincible for the next three to five years?

I think keep in it scarce has it's lure. The human psychology is that in which if there are few, "I better get it before it runs out.." this might be a marketing strategy... what do you think?

iPad is like a generic computer; yet, it provides an easy interface that will suit more than just computer geek. It blend entertainment and eBook together. It's a great device. The question is what is taken for iPad to go to next level. Will it ever replace regular computer? With regard to Apple TV, what is needed to create a true market for Apple TV?

It's amazing how rapidly iPad sales have grown, considering it is mostly used for entertainment.

Apple should start acquiring contract manufacturing companies to cope-up with the huge demands this is the only way out, but at the same time quality control is a big trouble, lets see how the competitors get advantages of this single ended demand.

Ipad is an amazing device. Even though Adobe flash doesn't work & many websites are out of reach, especially for my kids, who play web based flash games. But still the user experience is amazing, even when compared to Galaxy Tab, etc.

What a great luck to Apple! Once upon a time i remember all to see apple products in exhibitions like a museum piece because it was priced so high. Now the history is changing. Big treat for Apple.

28.5B in a single quarter! is just plain awesome. And that too with only a few products. It seems they will overtake IBM this FY. @GREAT-Terry IIRC the itunes Rental movie streaming(for which apple TV is used) works only inside US. That could be why.

Samsung may be a problem for Apple not keeping up with iPad demand. Future product transition may be with Quad Core A6 from TSMC.
