I wish Apple were a little less conservative. I'm waiting for a 4G iPhone -- maybe iPhone 6 in late 2012?

Maybe they will finally fix the antenna issue of the iPhone 4 and add the ability to send SMS to groups as well as allowing users to sync their calendars with 3rd party non-Apple applications? Wait a minute, except for the antenna issue that's only SW. Maybe it's an iPhone 4.1 rather than a 4+

I think the psychological factor also plays a role. Actually the expectations have gone up for Apple iPhone 5 wanting much more than Apple could provide...hence we are not much happy with what we get. Is it possible that Apple guessed it and that is one of the reasons why they have predicted a slower growth in the coming quarters? (my speculation :))

Lots of hype, for such small differential. From my point of view, these speculations only increase falsely additional demand.

Hi all. Just to be clear, this report is speculative based on interviews with some of the top analysts who explore the innards of these devices. I am not saying the next iPhone is a bad product, just an incremantal upgrade and as such not particularly exciting. I would expect an LTE model in a year or two that could be a bigger step forward.

Our report is based on the analysis of our partners at UBM TechInsights who closely follow iPhone and iPad development and designs wins. It is our best estimate of who's in and who's out of iPhone 5.

Rick, what would you like to see in iPhone 5. if i compare the previous generation of iPhones then there is only an incremental change from one generation to another. Also, as Apple do not have many models of phone as others have...i think an incremental improvement is good enough.

The last thing they want is iPhone to cannibalize iPad marketing and hype or vice versa.

What are the engineering and design challenges in creating successful IoT devices? These devices are usually small, resource-constrained electronics designed to sense, collect, send, and/or interpret data. Some of the devices need to be smart enough to act upon data in real time, 24/7. Specifically the guests will discuss sensors, security, and lessons from IoT deployments.
