This tells me that it is indeed lawyers that are running America. People are buying companies to avoid legal problems, not for competitiveness. Not a good sign for growth and sustainable prosperity.

At the rate things are going, it won't be long before the business model of our industry is: "The hardware and software are free -- you just have to pay us for the IP rights."
