I was planning of using the EmWin library in a commercial embedded project build on the NXP LPC17xx Microcontroller. Does this agreement mean I can compile this library for free in my Project?

This off cource a good move from both of this companys. With this help embedded company's can reduce there development time by at leaset 40%..good luck to all

The agreement actually covers all NXP ARM parts, Cortex M0, M3 and M4, ARM7 and ARM9. This includes the LPC1800 and the dual core LPC4300 plus many others.

This is a nice move. I see that a lot of semicon companies moving in this direction. They now provide the necessary libraries like Graphic, networking etc. There are similar options available from Microchip & TI ( Stellaris ). I will try to present a comprehensive information about these..let me find a weekend to do this compilation.. :)

As data rates begin to move beyond 25 Gbps channels, new problems arise. Getting to 50 Gbps channels might not be possible with the traditional NRZ (2-level) signaling. PAM4 lets data rates double with only a small increase in channel bandwidth by sending two bits per symbol. But, it brings new measurement and analysis problems. Signal integrity sage Ransom Stephens will explain how PAM4 differs from NRZ and what to expect in design, measurement, and signal analysis.
