This was predicted that MeeGo had a little chance in front of Android. It came as a "Me Too " and was never in the race!
But this Tizen looks to be another new animal. Would it succeed against the on salught of Android?
First, intel has its Meego (Manathan) different from Nokia. All Nokia Meego apps have to recompile in order to work on intel's Meego platform.
Now, after Nokia stick to Microsoft WP7, intel declare abondon ship on Meego. Where's the ethic? Do you think it's easy to pickup a platform & change to another?
Leave Tizen alone & let it grow an healthy path. Pls don adopt & abandon again like a techno slut.
Depressing how they throw out years of engineering work, only if they could think ahead a little without market domination clouding their peanut brains.
They can just go full steam ahead with Android and sell more units instead of pursuing some half baked idea.
I feel sorry for the app developers who jumped on the Moblin bandwagon. First it was Moblin/Clutter, then Meego/Qt and now Tizen/HTML5.
It's been a weird rollercoaster ride. I really hope that Tizen sticks and we have a stable embedded linux platform for both Intel and Arm.
