you nailed it. Being cheap does not mean bad device always. And i also do not believe in reviews anymore as they are so biased.

It's more cloud-intensive now. Those of us who have been Mobile Me (since the days when it was .mac) have seen firsthand Apple's move to the iCloud.

It doesn't play only closed content. Neither do the traditional Kindles.

Where did you get THAT from Amazon's announcement? Fire is wifi only, and you need to provide the wifi.

Owning both a NOOKcolor and a Kindle Fire, I can tell you there is no comparison. The Fire is FAR better for less money, thanks to Amazon's extensive content store.

Non-US people: Don't buy kindle fire. I bought it in US with the hope that it'll work in all the countries. Its waste. U've to be physically located in US to use this device. Also to purchase any music/video/book u'll need a US credit card and US shipping address. They don't support Non-US regions. I tried kindle fire in India as well.

Kindle Fire is more cloud-intensive than Apple's products, it's going to be disruptive to suppliers, who would have to sell mostly to a cloud than a user.

Note to all you Kindle Fire haters: Stop being so "Bah Humbug". If you don't want a Kindle - fine don't buy one, but don't spoil it for the rest of us that like those thing-ama-gigs.

I plan on getting a Fire for Christmas (hint to wife), even though I already have an IPad and the old style Keyboard Kindle. I also plan to buy a Kindle Touch for $99 - who can resist the price of these gadgets?

Agree! I don't like suggestion from browser as well! We should fight against it.
