This doesn't come as a surprise. Many are talking about similar dip as it happened in 2008 2nd half. I also think, the pesimism and fear hurts the economy further.

Daane is a very vocal baby to the people in Washington about getting his tax cuts. He wants his tax breaks - it's in his personal interest to talk the up market down. Then there's today's Dow Jones industrial average...rallying UP in contradiction to his apparent political agenda. Pay Altera's US taxes on all that offshored, deferred-tax money sitting in Malaysia, John, and quit bitching about the quality of US schools available for your children. You're the one to blame for that one, not us.

Interesting? I do not think Altera has the capacity to access this trend. What is their market share? Can they truly see this pattern?
