Well, the hard disc drive industry has been consolidating for years and this doesn't look like there's much more of it they can do. The Q4 forecast doesn't look too good either. Hopefully it will be somewhat better than that.

So according to the latest news in the article there will be mainly only two giants will be there in the storage market, Western Digital and Seagate. It seems that Samsung and Hitachi are both focusing their business over hardcore electronics by selling their stack from the storage segment.
