Wow! it looks like GF is in much deeper trouble than what shows in the surface. Without stable technology group, you don't have the foundation. The top Sr. staffs are all new to foundries and still have old AMD IDM mentality and forgotten what foundries is all about. You shaking the tree too much looses all the leaves.
As Manocha said "Globalfoundries will continue to seek out world-class talent to help drive the company to the next level", Globalfoundries should look for experienced engineers to resolve the yield issues, the yield problem is not limited to process only but also IP and EDA support. All those factors must be taken into consideration for yield improvement.
