Yes Warren East did indicate when to expect Atlas/Apollo. I quote him in copy "We expect Atlas, Apollo to come into volume in 2014 and at that time it will be a 20-nm world out there," said East.

I can't wait to see the numbers on the 64bit machine! When is the 64 chips coming out, did they say? I am wondering how well the switch from little to big works from the perspective of time for context switching? I like the idea of low performance/power switching to high performance/power modes, nice way to try and have your cake and eat it too.

The 64-bit ARM is, I suspect the Atlas/Apollo pairing. Although other variants will become available as ARM says it has signed 4 architecture licensees for ARMv8-A including Nvidia and AppliedMicro.

And there is that - 64b ARM which is ARM has been quietly working with the likes of AppliedMicro (xgene) and others. It is going to be an interesting battle.

Peter - my understanding is that Flycatcher is a Cortex-M (not R) implementation. Can't say more than that...

No mention of 64 bit ARM running Windows 8. Intel and AMD must be sweating
