Dylan, Looking at the market share chart?, I assume it shows that the vendor that was 7th place, dropped below the 11th spot, or out of radar because it was absorbed by a larger company ;-) (Perhaps National Semi?).

PS- I checked with the analyst from Databeans. The National Semi revenue wasn't included in TI's revenue until the fourth quarter. The analyst, Brice Esplin, said TI actually had a very good year relative to the competition, growing by 5 percent in a semiconductor market that was flat for the year.

Good point. In light of the fact that TI absorbed National, business was actually down from 2010, it appears.

Agree! After acquiring NS, TI seems not doing very well. BTW, TI is still the giant that is hard to beat nowadays.

TI's growth number was only 5%, if that was due to National acquisition their intrinsic business has actually shrunk! Kris

Pretty impressive performance by TI. National semiconductor acquisition has definitely helped TI to capture bigger market. But its interesting to see "Skyworks solutions" growth figures - "27%". Where did this growth come from ? Can it sustain this growth figure ?

Interesting data. Buying companies is a good way to grow market share. Good to see the former Motorola company On moving up into the top 10. Skyworks had the most growth. I'll have to look into them. Who dropped out?
