If you like meaningless challenges (like me), you can try to find how many digits there are in a row just by looking at the image ;) 240 (241 on first)? Or you can play with finding the million digits on this site: http://3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197169399375105820974944592.com/

(why didnt they just go for binary, octal or any other base that would match primary colors better than 10) p does seem to have its fanclub. Found this http://www.squidoo.com/PiDay I doubt I'm going to sing any of the pi songs for my kids..

The interesting thing is that if you read it using a knights traverse from the top line you can generate e.

Well done Duane....I was in a hurry and did not try to get a long version of pi and can only remeber the first couple of digits. I guess the two yellows give it away. But you have to wonder...in an engineering university....why reinvent a colour code?? Are Norwegian resistors that way too??

Tan = 3 Yellow = 1 Lt Blue = 4 Yellow = 1 Orange = 5 Dk brown = 9 Green = 2 BLue = 6 Orange = 5 Tan = 3 Orange = 5 Black = 8 Dk brown = 9 Red = 7 Dk brown = 9 Tan = 3 Green = 2 Tan = 3 It's not the standard resistor color code. They left out the decimal point though, so it's all wrong. It made my eyes go buggy trying to keep my place in the picture and in the listed digits of pi.

I think each color represents a different number -- I'm up to my ears in alligators at the moment -- let me ponder this later (unless someone else can work it out)
