Is there any chance that facebook will come up with their own browser? The mobile app itself no way can beat the desktop browser equivalent.

Right on. Of course, browser improvement and standardization would certainly help them out in improving the mobile app as well, but there are far too many mobile apps that simply need improvement with the current browser framework. On the other hand, will standardization stifle future browser enhancements, since that is possible the main cause of differences now?

It's great that FB wants to see mobile browsers improved and standardized. Meanwhile, they should focus more resources on improving their own FB mobile apps for iOS & Android. I suspect that a large percentage of the 425 million FB mobile users find it quite frustrating that the mobile FB app has so many limitations compared to FB on a laptop or desktop computer.
