If it's sponsored by Unesco it's probably nothing more than a public relations exercise. I don't expect anything else from a UN organization.

After I picked my jaw up off my desk from seeing tht list of players I had the same instincts. I thought "Well, maybe at least their scientists can get along." Then I thought again after Sun Tsu came to mind. In other words I can imagine that Israel has strategic interest at play here. Either way, that this will be "interesting" is an understatement.

Great news to have cross cultural science cooperation! Last I checked we are all living on this small planet in the out skirts of the Milkyway galaxy, so might as well learn to live with each other on this rock.
